Instructions on How to Set Up a Pro-Form Elliptical Machine
Pro-Form elliptical machine exercisers are forced to use their body weights as resistance during upright cycling. For this reason, the elliptical does not have a lot of components. Assembly requires attaching appendages to a central vertical beam. These attachments include foot pedals that set the machine in motion and handlebars to swing the crank arms back and forth. Used in conjunction, fitness enthusiasts enjoy a full upper and lower body work out. Digital features of the Pro-Form elliptical console offer users many options in terms of work out intensities and durations.Things You'll Need

1
Enlist the help of a friend. Build on a firm, flat surface. Familiarize yourself with the parts from the page of drawings included with the elliptical.
-
2
Take out the two M10 x 120mm patch screws and the shipping bracket. Throw away the shipping bracket.
-
3
Find the elliptical's stabilizer. Ask your friend to tip the frame of the elliptical backward while you attach the stabilizer bar to it with the M10 x 120mm patch screws.
-
4
Take up the handlebar with an "R" sticker. This is the right handlebar. Attach it to the frame using three of the M6 x 18mm patch screws. Repeat this step to attach the left handlebar to the frame using three more M6 x 18mm patch screws.

5
Pull the wire harness up out of the vertical hollow beam in the middle of the frame. Have your assistant hold the part called the upright over the top of the frame. Tell the assistant to pull down the wire tie that is inside the upright. Tie the lower end of the wire tie to the wire harness from the frame. Pull the upper end of the wire tie up and through the hole at the top of the upright. Use a piece of duct tape to secure the wire tie to the outside of the upright temporarily.
-
6
Slide the upright into the frame and secure the attachment with four M8 x 19mm patch screws.
-
7
Locate the console and pull down the wire. Remove the duct tape and connect the console wire to the wire harness. Push excess wire downward into the upright. Secure the console to the upright with four M4 x 16mm screws.
-
8
Take the cover off the ramp and secure it to the frame with four M10 x 27mm patch screws.
-
9
Remove the wire tie from inside the left link arm. Grease a barrel nut. Place the left pedal leg behind the left link arm. Connect them with the barrel nut and secure the nut with a M6 x 14mm flat head screw.
-
10
Insert a roller into the right link arm. Slide a M10 x 22mm x 1.5mm washer onto the roller. Hold the roller axle with a wrench while screwing on a M10 x 15mm patch screw. Repeat this step to attach a roller to the left link arm.
-
11
Attach pedals to each pedal leg with two M8 x 55mm patch bolts and two M8 hex nylon locknuts.
-
12
Replace the ramp cover and secure it with six #8 x 1/2" screws. Discard the shipping bracket from the frame's underside. Tell your friend to tilt the frame forward. Screw in a foot to the underside and secure the ramp's rear cover with four #8 x 2" screws.
