How to Use a Heel Elevator Support
Heel elevator supports are small, foam lifts that keep the legs straight while the ankle is elevated. While the most common heel elevator support is rectangular in shape, there are others that simply wrap around the ankle. While heel elevator supports keep your ankle elevated in a comfortable manner, they do not add stress to the back of the legs. Heel elevator supports can be used in beds, on couches or in a seated position.Instructions

1
Place the foot elevator at the end of your bed where your feet normally lie. The angled portion of the foot elevator should be pointing toward your legs not your feet. If you're sitting, place the foot elevator a leg's length in front of you.

2
Lay down normally and place your calves across the foot elevator. The position is the same if you're sitting down.

3
Place your ankles at the far end of the foot elevator. Your feet should be hanging off the edge. The back of your knees should be at the front of the foot elevator, and the angled portion will be under your lower thigh. The position is the same if you're sitting down.
