How to Strap a Knee With Tape
Knee injuries are not uncommon in athletes. Unfortunately, the pain associated with this type of injury is enough to keep even the most active person off her feet for days or weeks. If you're an active person and hate the idea of a knee injury keeping you from exercise, you can learn to strap a knee with tape. It's a technique that will help take pressure off your knee and aid your recovery time.Things You'll Need

1
Bend your knee at a slight angle while your leg is resting on a flat surface or by placing your foot on a slight elevation, such as a stair.
-
2
Strap the knee by wrapping sports tape around your leg directly below your knee. The tape should fit tightly around the leg and should be wrapped around at least three times.
-
3
Wrap sports tape around your thigh, right above the knee. As with the tape below the knee, apply several layers and the tape should fit tightly.
-
4
Create an "x" on both sides of your leg, in between the wrapped tape, by cutting several pieces of sports tape and applying them in a criss-cross design. These pieces of tape should be able to reach the top and bottom tape wrappings you just applied to your leg. Apply several layers of sports tape to ensure the "x" is securely fastened on both sides of your leg.
-
5
Apply two more layers of tape to the top and bottom wrappings. This will hold the ends of the "x" on both sides in place.
