How to Strengthen the Knee for Walking After a Stroke
Having a stroke can be very scary for both the victim and his family members. A stroke occurs when the blood supply is temporarily cut off from the brain. It can cause a wide variety of after-effects, such as the inability to walk, talk or perform other basic functions. If you are trying to strengthen your knees after a stroke that affected your ability to walk, there are a few basic exercises that you can try on your own at home.Instructions

Lift your right foot and move it over so it is touching your left leg. This can be done in a standing or sitting position, depending on which one is most comfortable for you.

Slide your right foot down so that it touches your left ankle.

Slide your foot back up until it touches your left knee, or as high as you can go.

Return your right foot to the ground and repeat steps 1 through 3 using your left foot on your right leg.
