How to Use DMSO for Achilles Tendonitis
DMSO, or dimethyl sulfoxide, is a wood by-product used as an industrial-strength cleaning compound. In 1961, Dr. Stanley Jacob discovered it to have healing properties when he was head of organ transplants at Oregon University's Health Sciences in Portland. DMSO now comes in creams, lotions and gels for skin application. Achilles tendonitis occurs when the Achilles tendon, which connects the heel to the calf muscle, becomes inflamed from injury. DMSO is an anti-inflammatory used in tendonitis treatment.Things You'll Need
