How to Wear an IROM Elbow Brace
If you're unfortunate enough to have suffered some type of injury to your musculature or joints of the forearm, you know how much pain and loss of function come with it. Some braces serve a variety of purposes, but the IROM Elbow Brace, manufactured by DonJoy, allows for fixed or controlled range of motion for the following conditions: stable supracondylar fractures, stable radial fractures and lateral/medial epicondylitis.Things You'll Need

1
Allow your physical therapist, orthopedist or DonJoy representative to fit you for the device. This process might require one week of evaluation and fitting procedures.
-
2
Adjust the range of motion settings (located on the outside portion of the elbow) if your health care professional allows it. Otherwise, have he or she do it for you as they deem it necessary.
-
3
Keep the IROM on at all times, unless instructed otherwise. Part of your recovery is gradually increasing your range of motion instead of trying to do too much all at once.
