Morning Joint Pain
Many people have a hard time getting out of bed every morning because of morning joint pain. The pain and stiffness that many experience each dawn could be caused several factors including arthritis.-
Significance
-
Morning joint pain and stiffness is caused by inflammation. While it may be first noticeable and felt upon arising, the pain can last and linger into the afternoon and evening.
Causes
-
The onset of arthritis is often the main cause of morning joint pain. Other causes are overuse of muscles and joints, fluids in the joints, not enough exercise, and improper movement of the limbs.
Signs
-
In addition to pain and stiffness, other symptoms that accompany morning joint pain include headaches, insomnia, reduced range of motion in limbs, inflexibility, and pain that endures throughout the day.
Considerations
-
Several factors can exasperate morning joint pain. Humidity, insomnia, sleep apnea, over exercising, stress and anxiety are all causes.
Treatment
-
Heat will help improve blood circulation. Cold packs will reduce swelling and calm hyper nerves. Exercise is not only good, but it is important and necessary. Stretching, walking, and just moving is beneficial.
