What are the things you can do because of nervous system?
The nervous system allows you to do a great many things, including:
- Move your body. The nervous system controls all of the muscles in your body, allowing you to walk, run, talk, and perform other movements.
- Sense the world around you. The nervous system receives sensory information from your eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and skin, and allows you to interpret that information and respond to it.
- Think and learn. The nervous system controls your thoughts, memories, and emotions, and allows you to learn new things.
- Control your body's internal environment. The nervous system controls many of the body's internal functions, such as heart rate, breathing, and digestion.
- Sleep. The nervous system controls your sleep-wake cycle, and helps you to fall asleep and wake up.
- Reproduce. The nervous system controls the release of hormones that regulate the reproductive system.
The nervous system is a complex network of billions of neurons that communicate with each other using electrical and chemical signals. It is responsible for all of the functions that make you a living, thinking, feeling person.
