Supplements for an Overactive Brain

An overactive brain suggests conditions such as attention-deficit disorder (ADD) or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression and anxiety. Reducing stress will enhance your ability to focus and remain calm. Consult a professional before supplementing with herbs based on your own diagnosis.

    SAM-e

    • S-adenosylmethionine, or SAM-e, is a neurochemical that can be taken to reduce depression. It is not recommended for patients with bipolar disorder or manic depression.
