Insert one end of the catheter into the ventricle inside the brain or in the CSF outside of the spinal cord.

Insert the other end of the catheter into the abdominal cavity, chamber of the heart or areas around the lung.

Ensure catheter is working properly by monitoring the one-way flow and the rate of the CSF flow.
Third Ventriculostomy

Insert the neuroendescope, the small fiber optic technology camera, into the ventricular area to view the surface.

Guide the camera into position to make a tiny hole in the floor of the third ventricle.

Allow CSF to flow until it is reabsorbed into the surface of the brain.
