How Can I Make an Arm Cast Smell Better?

1
Set a blow dryer to the "cool" setting and point it at the cast. The air will dry out the sweat and wetness that creates most of the odor from the cast. Use a blow dryer on the cast after you exercise and every two to three hours so that the sweat doesn't have a chance to build up.
-
2
Clean your hands with hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes until the cast is removed. Cleaning your hands with soap and water allows water to trickle down into the cast.
-
3
Wrap your cast in plastic wrap whenever you bathe. You can wrap the cast in any kind of plastic and tape the end of the plastic closed.
-
4
Apply a dab of cologne or perfume to the outside of the cast to cover up the smell.
-
5
Apply a damp cloth to the outside of the cast. If the outside of your cast smells, you can apply a damp cloth on the outside and rub baby powder where the smell originates. Make sure the cloth is only damp and that you do not get the inside of the cast wet.
