How would you describe a broken arm in medical terminology?

In medical terminology a _fractured humerus_ describes a broken bone in the arm. The severity of the break is determined by how much the bone is displaced, and if the skin has been broken at the sight of the break. Other bones in the arm impacted and fractured may also described, typically with the prefix _comminuted_ or _multiple_ to indicate multiple points of impact or separation of the bone (as in _comminuted radius fracture_).
