Soak your feet in warm water. A warm water soak will help give quick but temporary relief from many foot ailments, including bunions. A whirlpool or hot tub soak will help too.

Rub pain relief cream on the bunion and surrounding areas. This will help to quickly relieve the pain.

Give yourself a good foot massage. Be gentle around the bunion, but use a circular motion.

Over the counter pain relievers help too. Anti-inflammation medications, such as aspirin, ibuprofen and naproxen, can help to ease inflammation as well as pain.
