1
Run the burn under cool water to stop the heat. Do not ice the burn. This can make the burn worse by damaging the skin.
-
2
Treat the burn with an antibiotic cream. Some antibiotic creams boast that they help reduce scarring. Antibiotic cream will decrease the possibility of infection by killing bacteria, and will also help to heal the burn faster.
-
3
Apply aloe vera to the burn. Cut a leaf of an aloe vera plant and squeeze the juice onto the burn. You can also buy aloe vera cream at a drugstore, but make sure it is 100 percent pure. Aloe vera may cause your skin some discomfort, but it will help to heal your burn quickly.

4
Rub vitamin E oil over the burn. Vitamin E increases skin's production of collagen, which helps to close the wound faster, and rebuild to reduce scarring. It also will keep the skin around the burn moist to prevent further irritation. You can squeeze oil from a vitamin E capsule, or buy vitamin E oil from the drug store.

5
Apply lavender oil directly to the burn. You can apply it undiluted, or mix it with a carrier oil, such as olive oil, for extra moisture. Lavender oil will soothe the burn and help it to heal faster.

6
Smooth honey on the burn. Honey is extremely moisturizing, anti-microbial and rich in vitamins, antioxidants and minerals. Use raw, organic honey for maximum benefit.
