How to Fix Laser Burns
Laser hair removal is a popular and effective alternative for people tired of waxing or shaving unwanted hair. The method, however, includes the risk of laser burns. While the burns are generally mild to moderate, it is important to fix, or treat, them properly to prevent permanent skin damage.Things You'll Need
- Ice pack
- Towel
- Aloe vera gel
- Skin-healing ointment

1
Treat laser burn pain or discomfort by numbing the affected areas with an ice pack. Wrap the ice in a towel instead of applying it directly to skin. Leave the ice pack on for intervals of 10 to 15 minutes as needed for pain relief. When skin begins to feel numb, remove the ice pack until the pain returns. Immersing large areas of burned skin in a cool bath helps.

2
Soothe the burns by applying generous amounts of aloe vera gel to them. Pharmacies sell aloe vera gel.

3
Apply a skin-healing ointment, such as petroleum jelly or hydrocortisone to the burns. Such ointment is available over the counter, but your doctor may provide a stronger prescription cream. Apply the ointment as needed while the laser burns heal.
