How to Cut Gel Caps

Gel caps are most commonly taken orally and the capsule dissolves in the stomach, eventually releasing the medication within. But sometimes you need to use the medication within the capsule to treat an external problem, such as a burn or a scar. In this case, you need to cut the capsule open to release the gelatinous substance inside.
