How to Heal a Glycolic Burn

Glycolic acid is derived from natural fruit juices and is used in many skin peels. This particular acid loosens the substance that holds skin cells together, allowing dead skin to peel off. It's used to treat wrinkles, age spots and scars, along with many other skin conditions. Although glycolic acid is used to treat skin, it's possible that it can burn your skin, especially if you have sensitive skin. It's important to treat these minor burns immediately to help reduce any scarring it might cause.
