Instructions

  1. Tumeric and Aloe

    • 1

Slice off the spikes of the aloe vera leaf, and peel off its outer skin. Place the peeled skin into the blender. Blend the leaf to a thick pulp.

    • 2

Measure three tablespoons of the aloe vera pulp into a bowl. Stir three tablespoons of turmeric into the pulp. Mix the ingredients thoroughly.

    • 3

Apply some of the gel mixture to the sun burned skin. Cover the affected area with gauze.

    • 4

Wash off and re-apply this treatment three times a day. You can store the gel in a glass jar in the fridge.

    Turmeric and Milk

    • 5

Put three tablespoons of milk into the small bowl. Stir in the turmeric powder to make a paste.

    • 6

Apply the paste to the sunburned areas of your face and body. Allow the turmeric paste to dry on your skin.

    • 7

Rinse it off gently with cool water, using circular motions. The paste will remove finer hairs from your facial skin.

Try the following alternative turmeric treatment for your sunburn. Make a paste of 1/3 cup turmeric, 1/3 cup barley and 1/3 cup plain yogurt. Apply the paste to the affected areas of your face and body. Leave it on until it dries up. Rinse off gently.
