Immediately after the burn take a washcloth and soak it in milk or room temperature water. Apply directly to the burn area. If you use water that is too cold it can shock the skin causing difficulty in healing and increased likelihood of scarring.
-
2
Use ointment such as neosporin or Vitamin E while the wound is healing to prevent infection or severe scarring.
-
3
Once the wound has healed and the scab has fallen off, the scar will probably be bright red or pink. Aloe Vera or Vitamin E daily can help decrease the noticeable discoloration and will help the scarring fade.

4
If the scar persists you can always try over-the-counter scar removers- they are typically found near the band-aids and healing ointments.

5
Other options for scar removal may include laser scar removal but that is an expensive option considering the curling iron scar should fade over time due to its location and lack of depth- it will only injure the first few layers of skin therefore will not provide a deep scar that will be seen with deep lacerations or 2nd or 3rd degree burns.
