What is normal artery on palpating?

Normal Arteries on Palpation:

1. Brachial Artery: Palpated in the antecubital fossa, medial to the biceps brachii tendon.

2. Radial Artery: Felt at the wrist, lateral side, between the flexor carpi radialis and brachioradialis tendons.

3. Ulnar Artery: Located at the wrist, medial side, between the flexor carpi ulnaris and the flexor digitorum superficialis tendons.

4. Femoral Artery: Palpated inferiorly to the inguinal ligament, midway between the anterior superior iliac spine and the pubic tubercle.

5. Popliteal Artery: Located behind the knee, in the popliteal fossa.

6. Posterior Tibial Artery: Palpated behind the medial malleolus.

7. Dorsalis Pedis Artery: Found on the dorsum of the foot, between the first and second metatarsals.

8. Carotid Artery: Located on either side of the neck, lateral to the trachea and larynx.

Palpating the arteries provides important information about the quality, force, regularity, and symmetry of the arterial pulses, offering insights into cardiovascular health.
