What arteries carry blood to your head?
There are four major arteries that carry blood to the head: the two common carotid arteries and the two vertebral arteries. The common carotid arteries branch off the brachiocephalic artery, which is the main artery that carries blood from the heart to the head and neck. The vertebral arteries branch off the subclavian arteries, which are the main arteries that carry blood to the arms and upper chest. The common carotid arteries and vertebral arteries travel up the neck and into the skull, where they supply blood to the brain and other structures in the head.
