Homeopathic Way to Reduce Cholesterol
-
Lecithin
-
Lecithin is a fatty substance with no known toxicity to human beings. It consists of vitamin B, choline, linoleic acid and inositol, and it helps maintain the health of cell membranes in the human body. Although it is a fatty substance, lecithin emulsifies fats and helps prevent cardiovascular disease. It also helps to remove excess low-density lipoprotein (LDL), or "bad," cholesterol in the body. You can find lecithin in granule or capsule form at most health, supplement or homeopathic stores.
Vitamin E
-
Vitamin E in amounts that exceed those you can gather from diet alone has been known to help high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or "good," cholesterol and fight LDL cholesterol. While HDL cleans artery walls, LDL oxidizes in the body and causes cholesterol to harden, becoming dangerous arterial plaque. Vitamin E consumed in 400 units in supplement form everyday could prevent LDL from oxidizing as well as raise HDL.
Garlic
-
Garlic may significantly reduce cholesterol, but only when taken in large quantities. Because you will most likely have trouble consuming this much fresh garlic, you can take garlic in capsule form. The Mother Nature website refers to a study by Benjamin Lau, M.D., Ph. D., where "people with moderately high cholesterol took four capsules a day of an odorless liquid garlic extract called Kyolic [causing their cholesterol to fall] an average of 44 points after six months." At the very least, garlic can have no negative side effects on the human body.
