    • The most common side effects of Caduet include swelling of the legs or ankles (edema), headache and dizziness. According to the FDA, other side effects include diarrhea or constipation, feeling tired or sleepy, gas, rash, nausea, stomach pain, fast or irregular heartbeat, and flushing.

    Caduet warnings

    • According to Caduet's website and the FDA, you should not take Caduet if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, are breastfeeding, or have liver problems.

    High cholesterol and high blood pressure numbers

    • Very high total cholesterol is any number higher than 239 mg/dL, moderately high is between 200 and 239 mg/dL, and optimal levels are lower than 200 mg/dL. Very high blood pressure is higher than 139/89, moderately high levels are 120/80 to 139/89, and optimal levels are lower than 120/80.
