How come my ferritin level is 7 and iron 135 can you explain why i am so tired if high?
Iron deficiency anemia can have several causes, including:
- Insufficient dietary intake of iron-rich foods
- Poor absorption of iron from the digestive tract
- Chronic blood loss, such as from heavy menstrual bleeding or gastrointestinal bleeding
It's important to see your doctor to determine the cause of your low ferritin and high iron levels and to receive appropriate treatment. Treatment for iron deficiency anemia typically involves taking iron supplements to increase iron stores in the body. In some cases, underlying medical conditions that may be contributing to iron deficiency, such as gastrointestinal bleeding, may also need to be addressed.
