Instructions

  1. The Onion

    • 1

Peel an onion, and use a knife to cut it into halves. Hold one half of the onion close to your face, and inhale deeply through your nose to breathe in the gas that the onion naturally gives off.

    • 2

Continue smelling the onion until the congestion in your nose becomes runny. Wipe up any drainage with a tissue.

    • 3

Your nose should continue draining, giving you relief. Repeat this action if you become congested again.

    Steam

    • 4

Fill a cooking pot with water, and place it on the stove on high heat.

    • 5

Allow the pot of water to boil, and remove it from the stove.

    • 6

Hover over the pot of water and place a towel over your head to trap the steam in with you. Breathe deeply through your nose and mouth to allow the steam to loosen the mucus in your nose.
