Saltwater Mucus Remover
-
1
Pour one third cup water into bowl. Microwave water on high temperature setting for approximately 35 seconds.
-
2
Dispense one half teaspoon table salt into warm water. Stir with spoon until salt dissolves in water completely. Saltwater will assist in thinning the mucus membranes and allow the mucus to become dislodged from the body.
-
3
Using the liquid dropper, draw the saltwater. Tilt the head back and squirt saltwater into one nostril at a time. The saltwater will drain into the throat. Spit saltwater out into sink.
-
4
Blow the nose one nostril at a time to remove excess saltwater inside nostril. Repeat this treatment two times daily until desired mucus is removed.
Refreshing Steam
-
5
Pour two cups water into bowl. Microwave water on high temperature setting for three to four minutes.
-
6
Remove bowl of hot water using pot holders, and place it directly in front of you.
-
7
Place a towel over the head, covering the mouth and eyes. This will trap the steam inside the towel as it rises.
-
8
Inhale the steam radiating from the hot water. Steam helps the mucus loosen in the body, allowing it to be removed.
-
9
Repeat this treatment as many times as needed daily.
