What are the contraindications of rectal temperature?
Contraindications of rectal temperature:
- Patients with a history of rectal surgery or trauma
- Patients with severe hemorrhoids or rectal bleeding
- Patients who are incontinent of stool
- Patients with anal fissures or fistulas
- Patients with a history of rectal prolapse
- Elderly or debilitated patients who may be at risk for falls
