How to Clear Mucus Congestion

Mucus is generally located in your nasal cavity and in your throat. The development of mucus is a reaction by your body to eradicate any viral infection, though small amounts of the unsightly substance also occurs when you are healthy: Mucus is produced to combat air particles that could disrupt the mucus membrane lining. You can tell there is an issue if the mucus is not clear. A dark green or brown color is a bad sign. Blood in your mucus could indicate a sinus infection.
