How do you get scabies?

Scabies is spread through close physical contact with someone who is infected. This means that you can get scabies by:

- Touching someone who has scabies

- Sharing a bed or clothes with someone who has scabies

- Using a towel or other personal item that has been used by someone who has scabies

- Itching the burrows can lead to a bacterial infection.

Scabies can also spread through sexual contact.
