How to Mix Chloraseptic Spray With Alcohol

Chloraseptic spray contains phenol, an ingredient that helps relieve the pain from such ailments as a sore throat or mouth ulcers by numbing the affected area. Some people prefer to mix a small amount of alcohol with Chloraseptic to increase the numbing effect, since alcohol is chemically similar to phenol. This reflects a common remedy of gargling a mouthful of spirits mixed with water to care for a sore throat.
