How to Wear Breathing Masks at Night for Allergies
Allergies can interfere with the ability to breathe normally and can subsequently interfere with sleep. There are several different types of allergy masks available for day use, and also some designed to be worn at night when the wearer sleeps. Some allergy sleep masks are also designed to provide cold soothing relief for dry, irritated eyes. Some are small and tie behind the head, while others are larger. The type of mask you choose will depend on your needs and preferences.Instructions

Choose a mask that feels comfortable when sitting up and lying down. Not all allergy masks are designed for long-term wear, and it may be necessary to try a few different types of masks before you find the one that is the best fit for you.

Allergy masks designed for daytime wear sometimes contain padding to make them more comfortable, but this padding can be uncomfortable for allergy sufferers when sleeping. If you have allergies or sensitivities to certain types of material, such as cotton, choose an allergy sleep mask made of hypoallergenic materials.

Some breathing masks contain filters and some do not. These can be HEPA filters, charcoal filters or carbon filters. Masks that contain filters will need to have these filters replaced on a regular basis in order for the mask to function properly and efficiently.
