  Blow your nose to clear your nasal passages of mucus before using Vicks Sinex.

  Shake the bottle of Vicks Sinex before using it. If this is the first time you are using Vicks Sinex, you should prime the bottle before use. To prime, pump the spray until mist comes out. You should only have to prime spray bottles once a day.

  Close one nostril with your thumb or index finger, and place the open end of the nasal spray into the other nostril. Slightly tilt your head forward and spray Vicks Sinex into your nostril as you slowly breathe in. Spray a total of two or three sprays.

  Place the open end of the nasal spray in the other nostril and repeat the process. Avoid blowing your nose or sneezing immediately after using Vicks Sinex.
