How to Get Your Voice Back
Instructions

1
Give your vocal chords a rest. Overworking your vocal chords will only make matters worse. Abuse of this kind can very well be the reason you lost your voice. Try not to verbally communicate with anyone unless absolutely necessary until you can speak again without feeling like you're straining your voice.
-
2
Keep the larynx and the surrounding area well hydrated. Drink plenty of tea with honey and other fluids. Thyme or chamomile tea should bring some relief. Don't take in caffeine or anything that may cause dehydration.
-
3
Put on a humidifier. Moisture in the air will help keep your vocal cords hydrated.
-
4
Avoid smoking cigarettes, and avoid being around smoke and other irritants you shouldn't inhale.
-
5
Take showers and breath a little deeper. The steam will help keep your vocal chords moist.
