How to Get Rid of a Bad Cold While Pregnant
A cold is never a pleasant experience for anyone. The runny nose, fever, and sneezing may be curable but certainly unpleasant. However, as pregnancy weakens the immune system, the symptoms may last longer. Therefore, pregnant women should take greater care in treating the cold ameliorate the process.Things You'll Need

Drink fluids. Increase your fluid intake to 10 glasses of liquids a day. Although water is necessary, juice provides additional nutrients.

Consume six small meals instead of three big ones if you experience a loss of appetite. A clear liquid diet is best as it allows the stomach and bowels to rest. This includes juice, jello, water, broth,and popsicles.

Create a nutritious shake (with blended fruits and milk) after a day of successfully tolerating clear liquids. When your appetite returns you can also inegrate crackers or toast.

Avoid medication if you are less than 12 weeks pregnant or more than 38 weeks (unless directed otherwise by your physician). From 12 to 38 weeks of pregnancy, you can take Tylenol, Vick's cough syrup, Robitussin DM cough syrups or Sudafed nasal decongestant.

Get plenty of rest. Take several naps throughout the day and relax in bed as much as possible.

Call a clinic if temperatures rise above 101 degrees, if you cough up yellow sputum, or if you see no improvements after 24 hours. Ask for further medical directives.
