List of Flu Symptoms

The influenza or flu season occurs during the winter months in the United States, with symptoms that occur suddenly. Because the flu can cause serious health problems, knowing the symptoms of the virus and getting immediate treatment for it are recommended.
  1. Fever

    • According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, a fever between 102 and 106 degrees F that comes on suddenly is a symptom of the flu. It further states that children may have a higher fever than an adult.

    Digestive Disorders

    • Diarrhea and vomiting are a symptom of the flu. These are less common in adults than children.

    Pain and Tiredness

    • Body aches, headaches and sore throat are symptoms of the flu. Additionally, you may be extremely tired.

    Cough

    • A hacking, dry cough is the most prominent respiratory symptom of the flu.

    Nasal Symptoms

    • A stuffy or runny nose is another common symptom of the flu.
