Take grapefruit seed extract if your congestion is related to a virus or infection. This extract works as a powerful anti viral, antibacterial and antimicrobial agent, helping to clear the body of viruses and infections.

Use peppermint oil to clear your nasal passages and sinuses. You can put a few drops in almond or olive oil and rub it over the sinus areas around your nose, avoiding the eye area. You can put a few drops on a tissue and smell it when you need to clear your breathing.
