How to Relieve Dry Cough and Sore Throat
Things You'll Need
- Large mixing bowl
- Towel
- Onion
- Lemon juice
- Honey
- Ginger root
- Garlic cloves
- Throat lozenges

Boil water and pour into a large mixing bowl. Place your face above the steam and cover your head with a towel. Take several deep breathes. Remove the towel after 10 seconds. Repeat for one minute to help clear the nasal and throat passages.

Finely chop an onion. Add 1 tsp. of onion to 1 tsp. of lemon juice and 1 tsp. of honey. Allow the mixture to sit for five hours. Boil 1 cup of water and add this mixture to it. Drink slowly. This will help relieve your dry cough and soothe your throat.

Mix 1 tbsp. of honey in warm water. Drink slowly to help soothe a sore throat.

Cut up one ginger root and add it to boiling water. Add one or two garlic cloves, and 2 tsp. of lemon juice. Allow tea to boil for at least 10 minutes. Remove the ginger and garlic. Pour into a cup and drink slowly. This tea will help loosen mucus and other particles causing your dry cough.

Use throat lozenges when away from home to soothe your sore throat and to prevent your cough from becoming worse.
