    • 1

Prop up your pillows or sit upright so that your sinuses can drain. When you lie down, your sinuses can get clogged easier. Drink orange juice (contains vitamin C) and water so that you stay hydrated and nourished.

    • 2

Warm up a cup of water and put a eucalyptus tea bag in it. Eucalyptus has a strong smell and is often used as a natural remedy to clear sinuses. Hold the steaming cup of tea under nose while you drink it.

    • 3

Put a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil on a cloth and set it on your chest so you can breathe it in. The aroma is so powerful that it can clear up your sinuses almost immediately. If you purchase 100 percent therapeutic grade essential oil, drop a couple of drops of the oil into vitamin E cream and rub it on your chest.

    • 4

Use your index fingers to rub up the sides of your nose and over your eyebrows. This can relieve some tension and open up your sinuses so the mucus flows instead of clogs. If someone else can do this, it can allow you to relax and take in deep breaths.

    • 5

Take a shower before you go to bed and drop some essential oil onto the walls and floor of your shower. Turn the water on so that it gets warm and steamy in the bathroom.
