Wash your hands thoroughly. Your hands touch a lot of surfaces and can carry all sorts of bacteria. To prevent infection, it's important not to transfer the bacteria to your skin, eyes or nose.

Rub some lotion on the face so that your fingers will easily glide over the surface of the skin.

Firmly apply even pressure in the middle of the forehead using the pads of the first three fingers of each hand.

Move your fingers around the eye in a circle that ends at the top of the nose. Hold for a few seconds while maintaining firm even pressure.

Massage in a reverse circle around the whole eye that begins where you left off at the top of the nose and ends at the middle of the forehead. Apply firm pressure on the forehead for a few seconds. Repeat Steps 3 to 5 for three or four times.

Place the pads of the index and middle fingers of both hands on either side of the nose. Apply firm pressure and move your fingers down the nose in a small circular pattern. From the base of the nose, move the fingers along the cheekbone, around the eyes and back to the top of the nose. Repeat this step several times.
