Show signs of injuries, such as unexplained bruising, burns or black eyes. The victim may hide the injuries or make excuses.

Observe any personality changes of the victim. This can include anger, depression or unexplained frustrations.

Note appetite changes, as the victim may have drastic weight gain or weight loss. These are also symptoms of depression.

Lowering of self-esteem. The victim may feel worthless or useless.

Showing sleep changes. A victim may have trouble sleeping, trouble falling asleep or may be excessively tired. These are also signs of depression.

Look for hygiene changes. The victim may not take care of their personal appearance or may not shower.

Changes are seen in the living environment. The victim may not take care of their home or may avoid going home altogether.
