What are symptos of tss?
Symptoms of toxic shock syndrome (TSS) typically develop rapidly, often within 24 hours after exposure to the bacteria that produce the toxins that cause TSS.
Early symptoms of TSS include:
* A sudden high fever (often over 102 degrees Fahrenheit or 39 degrees Celsius)
* Chills
* Achy, muscle pain (myalgia)
* Nausea and vomiting
* Diarrhea
* Headaches
* Dizziness or fainting
* Confusion or delirium
* A rash that looks like a sunburn, often on the palms of the hands and soles of the feet
* Red eyes, mouth, and throat
* Swelling of the lymph nodes
* A drop in blood pressure (hypotension)
* Organ failure, including kidney, liver, and heart failure
* Death
If you experience any of these symptoms, it is important to seek medical attention immediately. TSS can be a life-threatening condition and early treatment is essential to improve the chances of a successful recovery.
