1
Keep a journal to track your mood, writing in it daily about how you're feeling and what is going on that day. This will help you determine if your moods are related to things such as financial problems, work or stress.

2
Make sure to get enough sleep and exercise. You should get eight hours of sleep a night. Moderate physical exercise such as a walk three times a week can go a long way toward boosting your spirits.

3
Engage in a creative activity, which can help you express yourself and your emotions. Take an art or pottery class, write poetry or take up knitting to keep yourself active and improve your mood.
-
4
Connect with good friends who you are able to confide in. Feeling like you have someone to turn to can help you feel less isolated or alone.
-
5
Pamper yourself when you feel your spirits sinking. Take a bubble bath, eat some chocolate or go for a manicure when you need a mood booster.

6
Surround yourself with things you like. This can mean candles, flowers, scents you enjoy or colors on your walls or furniture that lift your spirits.
