How to Get Rid of Judder

"Juddering" is the act of shaking or twitching uncontrollably. It may result from fear and anxiety or from ingesting substances that affect the body physically. If you can't control juddering on your own, don't hesitate to consult a physician.

Instructions

    • 1

Reduce your caffeine intake. Ingesting drinks packed with caffeine boosts heart and brain activity and can be overstimulating, causing an elevated pulse rate and physical trembling. Drop caffeine dosages to a maximum level of 300 mg. per day (approximately three cups of coffee) to reduce caffeine-induced juddering.

    • 2

Reduce the amount of stress in your life to help stop juddering. Stress, which may be caused by a demanding job or a difficult personal relationship, harms your emotional, psychological and physical well-being. Involve yourself in activities and relationships that reduce levels of angst and increase joy.

    • 3

Make sleep a priority. Devote at least eight hours of your day to rest and relaxation. Lack of sleep causes fatigue and depression, which can lead to juddering.

    • 4

Eliminate the use of drugs and alcohol. Taking drugs (amphetamines or diet pills, for instance) or drinking alcohol increases cortisol levels, making you feel energized and alive. The positive effects, however, are only temporary, while the negative consequences are increased levels of anxiety, dizziness, rapid breathing and trembling.
