According to the Mayo Clinic, anxiety disorder is a feeling of anxiousness that affects your everyday life. Generally, feelings of panic or obsessive compulsive tendancies occur as well. Anxiety disorder often shows up in conjunction with other mood disorders.
Symptoms of Anxiety Disorder

Anxiety disorder is characterized by worry and usually an obsession with small details or something specific. Most people feel restless and have severe mood swings. There is also constant tension in the muscles, which causes trembling or sweating.
What is Depression?

Depression is a disorder that is characterized by a prolonged feeling of sadness. A person is also sluggish because of the disorder. There are also manic episodes which causes a person to be overly happy or energetic.
Symptoms of Depression

People suffering from depression usually have a lack of energy and a feeling of hopelessness. Other symptoms include having a hard time concentrating, weight loss or gain, crying spells and thoughts of suicide.
Shared Symptoms

Depression and anxiety share some symptoms. They both cause fatigue and disturb sleep. Suffers of either disorder often experience erectile dysfunction and a loss of interest in sex. Both also usually lack of interest in activities that used to be important to them.
