Inventory of Depressive Symptoms
Depression presents differently in different people. From irritability to loss of sex drive, the symptoms can vary greatly. However, some common symptoms often appear in people with depression.-
Sleep Disturbance and Fatigue

People with depression often sleep more than usual or suffer from chronic insomnia. They may feel tired all the time, even if they sleep a lot.
Appetite Disturbance

Depression can cause people to eat more than they usually would or to lose their appetite. This can lead to weight gain or loss.
Apathy

People with depression tend to lose interest in things that once made them happy. They no longer seem to care about things like maintaining friendships, hobbies, personal appearance or sex.
Lack of Focus

Depressed people can seem "spacey" and unable to focus or concentrate on tasks or conversations. They can also have a hard time making decisions.
Irritability

People with depression can seem grouchy, irritable or quick to anger. Sometimes, it seems that every little thing is a major annoyance to them.
Suicidal Thoughts
