How to Boost Low Self-Esteem

Many people suffer from low self-esteem due to negativity being a key factor in their lives either at an early age or at some other point in their formative years. The old adage, "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me," couldn't be further from the truth. Words do hurt and are heard by both our conscious and subconscious minds. Our conscious minds may forget negative words and actions aimed in our direction; however, the subconscious mind misses nothing and will allow the brain to act on the negative "programming" it has received. Negativity in the subconscious results in negativity in the conscious mind, which includes feelings of low self-esteem.

Instructions

    • 1

Try a course of hypnotherapy sessions to rid your subconscious mind of negative clutter. This, in turn, will boost your self-esteem and allow you to feel good about yourself.

    • 2

Buy that perfume you’ve always wanted but inevitably have had more important things to buy with your money. Buy the perfume and wear it. Do something nice for yourself.

    • 3

Treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure and enjoy every minute of it. Pamper yourself; you deserve it.

    • 4

Permit yourself to love yourself. You are worthy of being loved–especially by you.

    • 5

Make an appointment to have your hair styled. A new do does wonders for your self-esteem.

    • 6

Allow nobody to use you. Recognize that people will try to get away with whatever they can get away with, and it must stop now in order for you to regain your self-esteem. Allow only positive actions; ban the negative.
