Diabetes and Natural Cures
While diabetes is a condition that can never fully be cured in any measure, it can be controlled or cease to effect the body. In some cases, this can be done without medication or chemical intervention; but it requires a lot of self-discipline.-
Cut Out Simple Sugars
-
Simple sugars such as refined sugar (found in candy, syrups, soda, and so forth) must be avoided at all costs; these dump glucose into the blood stream, and diabetics lack the natural ability to counter this.
Max Out Complex Carbohydrates
-
Trade all carbohydrate intake for complex carbohydrates. Instead of white bread, choose whole grains and fiber; the less refined a grain is, the more time it gives your body to digest it and break it down, allowing a sustainable absorption of sugar.
Lose 10 Percent of Your Body Weight
-
Insulin resistance is highly dependent on weight; often, if a diabetic loses 10 percent of her body weight, her body automatically becomes much more sensitive to insulin.
Exercise Regularly
-
Regular intervals of exercise, even if they are relatively short, allow your body to burn sugar naturally and also to increase its metabolic rate. Aim for at least thirty minutes a day, five days a week.
Monitor Carefully
-
Monitor your blood sugar carefully so that you have a solid picture of what is working for you and what is not. While these are universal suggestions, some may be more effective for you personally than others.
