Pre-Diabetic Symptoms
Someone who is considered pre-diabetic will actually have no physical symptoms. Most people who discover they are pre-diabetic will do so quite by accident, usually from a checkup or blood test for another condition. Since there are no actual signs or symptoms of pre-diabetes, you may be wondering if there are any indicators that could help reveal the potential of this condition.-
History

One of the first indications that the potential for diabetes lies within a person will be a family history of the disease.
Weight

Along with this history, another fairly common risk factor will be a person's weight. If you have a BMI, otherwise known as a body mass index, of over 25, there is a strong possibility that you are pre-diabetic.
Age

While not a risk all on its own, a person's age does weigh into the potential of becoming pre-diabetic. As you get older, the potential of developing diabetes does increase, usually around the age of 45.
High Blood Pressure

If you are hypertensive, be it stage one or stage two, there is a pretty good chance that you are pre-diabetic.
Sedentary

A sedentary life style is another factor that can increase your risk of becoming pre-diabetic and/or diabetic. This has a lot to do with the fitness level of the individual and goes hand-in-hand with a person's weight, blood pressure and age. It's really best to keep active as you get older.
