Insert a new lancet by removing the device cap, placing it into the lancet holder and twisting until you a hear a click. Set the dial to the correct testing site on your body. The dial determines the depth of puncture based on your testing location such as your forearm, heel or finger.

Place the top of your test strip completely into the designated slot. The test strip will turn the glucometer on after reaching the bottom of the insertion slot. The screen will indicate proper display function by showing all the symbol and number options before showing an icon of a small drop of blood and a test strip in the center of the screen. The small blood drop and test strip icons signal that the device is ready for blood sample testing.

Hold the sample strip to your skin at an angle. The lancet is directly beneath the strip and will obtain a blood sample. Continue holding the testing strip in place until you hear a beep indicating the sample is complete. Do not force, scrape or jab the lancet into your skin. Your glucose results will appear on the screen within approximately five to eight seconds after hearing the completed beep.
