How to Reset an Ascensia Contour Glucometer

The Ascensia Contour Glucometer tests a small amount of blood to determine the amount of glucose in the blood. This unit is used at home by individuals with diabetes or hypoglycemia. The meter stores information on your last 480 blood tests to provide you with averages and past information. If you need to reset the meter, all of the information will be deleted and cannot be restored. Once reset, the meter will be restored to the factory default settings.

  Push and hold down the "M" or memory button until the Ascensia Countour Glucometer turns on. Release the "M" button.

  Push and hold down the "Arrow down" button. This causes the meter to begin scrolling through data. Once it begins scrolling through data, push and hold down the "M" button while still holding down the "Arrow down" button. The system will then scroll through and highlight all of the data.

  Release the "Arrow down" and "M" buttons when the display screen says "DEL." Once the buttons are released, the meter will ask if you are sure you wish to delete all data. Push the "M" button to confirm the reset.
